What you can expect
This degree programme provides business administration knowledge and prepares students, alongside their professional commitments, for the specific demands of the global financial sector as well as operational management.
Students are sensitised to current developments in the financial sector and develop an understanding of the complex interrelationships of markets.
In addition to face-to-face contact hours with lecturers (on Saturdays) and accompanying online sessions during the week, the programme includes a self-study component. This component is completed independently on the basis of the learning materials provided. On-campus teaching takes place exclusively on Saturdays. Overall, this structure ensures a high-quality, practice-oriented and flexible course of study. It provides a competitive advantage in the labour market by enabling students to combine uninterrupted employment with career-enhancing academic development.
Your study content
This Bachelor’s degree program provides fundamental knowledge in business administration, including cost and performance accounting, corporate taxation, controlling, and much more. In the later semesters, you can choose between two specialisations: Management or Finance.
As a graduate of the BWL-FM programme, you will be broadly qualified in business administration and will have sector-specific additional competencies for roles in finance-driven organisations. You develop a critical, up-to-date understanding of business relationships in financial markets, enabling you to handle application-oriented tasks in organisations effectively. In addition, you gain a sound grounding in business administration that provides reliable orientation across key corporate processes.

What you need to bring along
- General or subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification
- Alternatively: entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or a qualification recognised as equivalent in the course of vocational qualification
- Proof of proficiency in the German language equivalent to reference level C1 or higher as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). All degree programmes are taught in German.
Application process
The application period for the admission admission-free bachelor’s degree programmes for the coming summer term begins on 01. December 2026 and ends on 15. March 2027.
