Transatlantic Summer School
Transatlantic Summer School 2026 on Sustainability in Detroit
In 2026, Wayne State University in Detroit (USA) will host the summer school. We are pleased to invite students from all disciplines to participate in the “Transatlantic Summer School on Sustainability in Detroit” in the summer of 2026.
Participating students will work together with project partners such as the Metropolitan Museum of Design Detroit and other local non-profit organisations in the fields of energy, urban planning, and mobility, in small project groups on concrete tasks from the real everyday life of the project partners.
The interdisciplinary nature of the students and the different backgrounds of the participating universities from Germany and the USA guarantee a diverse perspective on the tasks at hand. This results in exciting and valuable teamwork experiences.
The Summer School is a co-operation between Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, Hochschule Harz, the Wayne State University and the Iowa State University.
More information about the application for HRW students can be found in the HRW Portal (please note: multi-factor authorization is required for access!).
