"New Work" or "New Normal"
At HRW, we are also engaging with new forms of work and are in a continuous process of transformation.
Under the umbrella term New Work or New Normal, the university has identified several key focus areas, which have, among other things, been incorporated into the University Development Plan:
- Networking and project-based collaboration: The university offers many formats that enable networking beyond one’s own team. This provides a solid foundation for the increasing trend toward project-based collaboration.
- Digitalization: Not only the implementation of the Online Access Act has a major impact on the working world of employees at Hochschule Ruhr West in the course of digitalization. It is changing the way we work.
- Modern workplaces: The university provides modern workplaces that enable communication and collaboration.
- Agility: Our working methods are geared toward flexibility and quick adaptation to change.
- Freedom and self-determination: Flexible working hours and hybrid working (alternating between campus and home office) give university employees flexibility in terms of working time and location.
