    DIGITALISATION OF ENERGY

Everyone is talking about the energy transition. This degree programme can help shape it. So it's the right time to invest in a degree programme that focuses on energy and computer science. The Energy Informatics degree programme shows what these two fields, energy technology and computer science, have in common and where they are used.

    What you can expect

Study at one of the most modern universities in the Ruhr region, in a family atmosphere and with close contact to the professors. Study at the Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences with campuses in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Bottrop.

HRW was one of the first universities to launch the Energy Informatics degree programme, which is an exciting mix of computer science and energy technology. The course focuses on the digitalisation of our energy supply.

What our students and alumni say

"For me, the degree programme is the perfect mix of computer science and engineering. Although I never had computer science and hardly any physics at school, I got through very well. I can recommend studying Energy Informatics to anyone with an interest in technology who wants to shape the digitalisation of energy supply and secure good career prospects."

    Christoph Szymczyk

    Portrait Suefke

"I studied energy informatics because I find it exciting to shape the energy transition with modern communication technology. As an energy computer scientist, I am a kind of translator between energy technology and computer science."

    Christina Süfke, 2018
