Engineering Mechanics (Statics & Strength of Materials)

In the teaching laboratory, experiments can be carried out on Technical Mechanics I & II. The practical course for Engineering Mechanics I (statics) and elements of Project 1 take place here.

Laboratory equipment

Various mechanics experiments incl. measurement technology: e.g. central force system, internal forces, centre of gravity, trusses, shear force and bending moments, mechanics case, deflection

Completed projects/research work

• Development and construction of a testing device for deflection tests
• Conceptualisation of an accompanying Mechanics I practical course to promote theory-practice transfer
• Concept development of tasks for the deflection tests
• Development and construction of a torsion test rig
